Floater Frenzy Rules
Boy or girl in grades 4-12 in the United States
Use a hoop that is 10 feet high
Player must get their own rebounds
You have one minute and must start behind the three-point line
Each attempt must begin with at least one foot inside the paint, which is the area inside the free throw line where players line up during free throws
You are shooting floaters, not layups or jump shots. Floaters can be shot off one foot or two feet with either hand to count. If you are unsure of what a floater is, please watch the video to see it in action.
You are trying to make the most floaters in one minute
After each attempt, you must touch the three-point line with your foot before starting the next attempt.
You must record your attempt. The top 10 will require video verification. You should upload the video to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link with The Short Corner when the score is submitted. No video voids the entry.
Attempt and submit as many entries as you'd like. Only your top score matters, but you can keep trying.
Categories are grades 4-8 and 9-12. Each category will have a winner. Each winner will have a prize sent to them.
Top 10 will be video verified and shared on Sunday, which is when the next contest will begin.
Compete in as many competitions as you want.
All submissions are due by 11:59 PM EST on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Submission link will appear on this page soon and in the weekly newsletter.
